Training for pet professionals in ultrasonic teeth cleaning

In 2022 i decided to start sharing my knowledge and skills with other pet professionals around the country to help increase the standard of teeth cleaning for doggies across the country, and even internatioanlly as some of my trainees arent based in the UK.

In January 2024 i also received an endorsement from emmi-pet for my training that i give. This is a such a great accolade to have as there are only 5 endorsed trainers in the UK (as of April 2024) and only 3 of us currently teach excellant manual removal techniques that emmi-pet, and vets, deem to be effective, efficient and safe. This endorsement means that i will be able to reach more people and be able to drastically increase the standard of cleaning throughout the country. It is important for pet professionals to know that alongside the brush there are many other techniques required to achieve the results that me, and a few others, get in a very short time frame. The brush is fantastic and works great as a preventative treatment, however the results that some of us get are as a result of the additional training that i can teach you.

I have 2 types of training, which i have detailed below, and you will have the opportunity to buy equipment from me on the day too so that I can make sure that you have everything that you need to start your career in this treatment off on the right foot.

What are my options for training?

I currently offer 2 types of training day. The first is an online video call training and the second is an in-person day. Here are the differences:

Video Call - This is a 3 hour training session where you will dial in through facetime, or the like, and i will demo a teeth clean showing all aspects of ultrasonic teeth cleaning. I will show and explain all that i am doing so that you gain a really good understanding of how to clean the doggies teeth. I will work through one doggie.
In-Person - This is a 6-7 hour training day where you will either come to me, or if you are inside of a set radius, i will come to you, and we will work through 3 dogs during the day. I will clean and demo the first doggie, explaiing what i am doing and showing you as many of the techniques as i can. The second and third dog will be cleaned by you with me offering alterations and advice on how to get the results that i know you can get.

Both of these are extremely detailed and comprehensive and at the end of each you will be presented with an emmi-pet certificate, signed by both me and the MD of emmi-pet.

Both of these options also come with my training manual, which is very comprehensive. This has all the relevant information that you will need to make a really good and informed start to your new treatment. This manual includes everything from inside the dogs mouth, health and hygiene, common conditions you will see, everything you need to know about emmi-pet, homecare advice and lots on how to make it a successful business for you. There are example photos of lots of things that you will see too and we will talk about all of these and what you should do in the event of seeing these.

I would usually encourage people to have the in person training as then you will have the ability to have 2 opportunities to clean whilst under guidance. I have found in the past that all the trainees who come in person tend to get the results in a slightly faster timeframe that the people who have the online call session. But rest assured, both are extremely valuable options.

what else is included in the training?

There are lots of others things that are included in the course content alongside the online demonstration and the in person training. Here are other things you receive:

Once a booking has been made and we have had a call to chat about your experience etc i will send out a copy of my training manual. This has all the relevant information that you will need to make a really good and informed start to your new treatment. This manual includes everything from inside the dogs mouth, health and hygiene, common conditions you will see, everything you need to know about emmi-pet, homecare advice and lots on how to make it a successful business for you.
There are examples in the manual of things that you will see which photos attached too, so we will talk all through what you will see and the best course of action if you see these things.
On the day we will also talk abotu your business specifically, going over the best ways to integrate this into your business, how to market to customers, what to charge, how to explain the treatment correctly and all things business related. Doing this bit at the end of the training means we can have a really good chat about your own particular circumstances so that i can give the best advice to help you be successful.
You will get ongoing support from me for however long you need it. One thing i make sure of is that i am there for you going forward after your training. The day is very comprehensive and i am sure there will be things people forget or need more aid with, so i make sure i offer support for as long as you need it. I have been doing this a long time and have cleaned over 1800 dogs teeth, so there isnt much i havent seen now.

One thing i hear back from trainees over and over is how much they love the training day and how much they love having me there for support after the training has been completed. I will always encourage you to send me through photos of dogs teeth if you arent sure of something, as well as photos of the dogs they are doing so that i can give them feedback and encouragement.
